  3. Add ETH or USDC through exchanges or other wallets.
  4. If your funds are already on Arbitrum, you are ready to swap DUCA! If not, read the section below on how to bridge to Arbitrum.

Bridging to Arbitrum

You need to bridge your funds to Arbitrum to swap on DUCAswap and to claim your Private- or Pre-Sale tokens on DUCATA.io. There are multiple ways to bridge your funds to Arbitrum. Every route is affected by gas fees, to find the optimal route, try out with small amounts or join the Discord and get the latest feedback on routes in our Discord. Please note that the ETH pools in the DUCA Protocol will be very small in size, so slippage will be high. USDC will have higher liquidity and lower slippage.

Option 1: Bitvavo ETH/USDC  DEX Wallet  Arbitrum Bridge

Step 1: Transfer from Bitvavo to DEX Wallet

  1. Login to Bitvavo and go to your wallet.
  2. Select ETH or USDC and click Withdraw.

Private & Pre-Sale DCM token Claim

All Private and Pre-Sale participants can claim their allocated DCM tokens on DUCATA.io. The claim instructions are below. For all unclaimed tokens, there is a grace period of a minimum of 90 days. The grace period is provided so that everyone can get to know the DUCA Protocol in their own time, while their DCM is protected from rebasing and volatility. Only proceed with the claim when you feel confident you understand how the protocol works and how your DCM can be affected.

Step 1: Access DUCATA.io

  1. Open your web browser and go to the DUCATA.io.

Step 2: Log in to Your Account

1. Fill in your account info to log in. The account info is the same as you used on ducata.com.
2. Confirm your login with your 2FA authenticator code.
3. The portal will display the number of DCM tokens you are eligible to claim.

Step 3: Connect Your Wallet

  1. Click on the "Connect Wallet" button.
  2. Select your wallet (e.g., MetaMask, Trust Wallet).
  3. Authorize the connection and prove the ownership of your wallet by following the wallet's prompts and signing.

Step 4: Claim Your Tokens

  1. Click the "Claim" button.
  2. Confirm the transaction in your wallet. Ensure you have enough ETH for gas fees.
  3. Wait for the transaction to process. You will receive a confirmation once it is successful.
  4. In the success message, you can click "show in wallet" which will automatically show the DCM tokens in your wallet.

Step 5: Check Your Wallet

  1. Open your wallet and navigate to the token section.
  2. Add a DCM token if it doesn’t appear automatically or you didn't click "show in wallet" by adding the contract address.

DCM: Rebasing Basics

To understand DCM's rebasing mechanism and the relevance of the 90-day grace period better we have outlined the Rebasing Basics. Without diving into too much detail, this is to give you a brief explanation of DCM’s rebasing mechanism, how it’s used and how it affects DCM holders. If you want to know more, some items have been linked to our Doc Centre for further details.

What is Rebasing?

Rebasing is a mechanism where the number of tokens in your wallet can vary. The DUCA protocol uses this mechanism for DCM to manage the DCM supply with the Stability Fee.

How Does It Work?

To maintain stability, there are specific predetermined rules about the amount of DCM that must be in the Stability Pool. The DCM in the Stability pool is represented by LPD.

Scenario Example

If the DCM price drops, the Clean Float mechanism will create demand for DCM by making LPD more attractive. To make it more attractive, the LPD incentive is increased, this increase needs to be paid by someone. All DCM owners pay this fee, and this fee is charged with the rebase mechanism.

Now, why is it important to understand this ahead of claiming your tokens?

It's important to understand how rebasing works because it directly affects the number of tokens you hold. Being aware of these mechanisms ensures you won't be surprised if you suddenly have fewer (or more) tokens than before after you claim or swap them. Since we don’t know how the market will respond, especially in the early days of the protocol, we don’t know how impactful this rebasing can be. This is one of the reasons we have the 90-day Grace Period for all investors. You will have all the time you need to discover how the protocol works and of course, how the market reacts to these mechanics, without the pressure of having DCM in your wallet at risk of getting rebased.

Non-Claimed DCM Tokens:

  1. Let’s say you bought 10,000 DCM tokens in the pre-sale and haven't claimed them, you will continue to have 10,000 DCM tokens regardless of market price changes.
  2. As long as these tokens remain unclaimed, they are not subject to rebasing.

Claimed DCM Tokens:

  1. If the Stability Pool has too little DCM, the rebasing mechanism will “charge” DCM owners a number of your DCM tokens to pay the stability fee (e.g., from 10,000 tokens to 9,999 tokens).
  2. If the Stability Pool has enough or excess DCM, LPD owners will pay the stability fee to DCM owners using the rebasing mechanism. This can increase your tokens (e.g., from 10,000 tokens to 10,001 tokens).
